Flore delivers her first EP for POLAAR, both the starting point for the label and a defining moment of her RITUAL live show where she questions the visceral relationship between art and the holy throughout history.
Numen starts off the release with a fast cinematic techno inspired by the sci-fi world of French artist Moebius. It is a journey through a frantic and dissonant world guided by the protective voice of a deity speaking an unknown language.
Random is the most cerebral piece of the recording. This spine-tingling track explores the feeling of solitude with shattered glass samples, low-pitched vocals and an acid rain-like melody.
The percussive Graved On Stone closes the album with a suffocating groove coupled with hypnotizing vocals. A bouncy rhythm interrupts the black mass with a liberating energy.
With a unique blend of atemporal soundscapes and characteristic structures from techno and modern bass-music, Flore exposes the contradictory but linked feelings of alienation and freedom.
